The TF60 is specially constructed by bonding three 190x190x50mm La Rochere glass blocks offering the following physical properties:

SIZE: 190 x 190 x 150mm LIGHT TRANSMISSION: 76%

WEIGHT: 6 kilos

PATTERNS AVAILABLE:

Flemish (TF60N) Transparent (TF60T) Frosted (TF60S) and Bubble (TF60BU)

THERMAL TRANSMISSION: U value = 1.6 W/m² °C (Achieved when panel is constructed using lightweight mortar.)

SOUND ABSORBENCY: Rw = 48 - 53 dB (Dependant upon frequency)

FIRE RATING: 60 minutes fire integrity & 60 minute thermal isolation.

Tested to EN 1364-1 at CTICM [France] & assessed to suit UK market by Warrington Fire Research Centre to BS EN 1364-1. Valid until 1st February 2010. Test data is available from Glass Block Technology.

HOW TO ATTAIN CERTIFICATION

For a fire glass block wall to be warranted and receive a fire certificate it must be installed in strict accordance with test conditions & assessments.

Once the panel has been installed, the person or contractor responsible must contact Glass Block Technology and complete an application form, which will be lodged in the project file at the head offices. Glass Block Technology will then issue the certification.

SPECIFICATION OF TF60 GLASS BLOCK

MAXIMUM PANEL SIZE: 9m2 with width or height either direction not exceeding 6m. The panel was tested 14 blocks wide x 14 blocks high.

PERIMETER BORDERS: 50mm width constructed of glass block mortar.

PERIMETER REINFORCEMENT: Three number ø8mm stainless steel reinforcement rods.

JOINT REINFORCEMENT: Three number ø6mm stainless steel reinforcement rods both horizontally & vertically.

EXPANSION MATERIAL: 10mm width. Bitumen fibre to base for assistance with weight compression & expansion foam to head & jambs, caulked over with fire stop silicone (dependant on finishing detail, either encased in steel U profile or protected behind plasterboard).

Available as loose build or precast in factories.
