For constructing glass blocks insitu, Glass Block Technology Ltd has two proven fitting systems:

Rods & Mortar is the proven traditional system that can be used for virtually any type of glass block project. It can be used internally, externally for straight & curved panels. It is commonly constructed using 10mm joints. Precast panels & all other dry fix systems are based upon the principles of Rods & Mortar construction.

Easifix is an installation method recommended for internal use only. It is a dry-fix fitting system ideal for shower screens, panels within partition walls & many interior features within domestic situations. Interior designers, property developers & shop fitters are realising the commercial benefits of the simplicity of construction using Easifix as well as just Diy'ers. It is formed upon a 4mm joint system that can either be silicone or grout finished.  

Easifix cannot be used for curves, only straight  & non fire rated walls.
